Victoria and Mitchell’s love story began just as many millennial romances do—on Hinge! Their connection sparked with Mitch’s opening message, asking if Tori was a Mets fan. Little did he know, this would lead to a playful rivalry as Tori soon learned Mitch rooted for the Phillies. Despite supporting opposing teams, their shared love of sports became a perfect icebreaker. Their first date on December 4, 2022, at Pinstripes in North Bethesda, MD, was filled with nervous chatter and laughter. The evening left both of them hopeful that this Hinge experiment might actually work out. Soon after, Victoria left for New York to spend the holidays with family, but that didn’t stop their connection from growing. They texted every day, discovering just how much they had in common. By the time they reunited in January for their second date—a University of Maryland Men’s Basketball game against Ohio State—any lingering first-date jitters had melted away. As introverts, daily conversations had already made them feel at ease, and their connection deepened. On February 24, 2023, Mitch officially asked Victoria to be his girlfriend. Tori says she knew Mitch was "the one" pretty early on, but a pivotal moment came during a special weekend in April. Her parents, Jennine and Tom, came to Maryland to watch Victoria be honored as the Faculty Guest Coach for the Terps lacrosse game against Johns Hopkins—an intense rivalry for their alma maters. Victoria begged Mitch to ditch his Hopkins gear since they’d be on the big screen, and much to her surprise, he complied! That gesture showed her just how far he was willing to go for her (though not as far as wearing Mets gear!). A few weeks later, Mitch faced an even bigger test: meeting Victoria’s very large family at her sister Stephanie’s wedding. With charm and patience, Mitch blended right in, even enduring hours of watching seven women get their hair and makeup done. Stephanie later joked she knew Mitch was sticking around after that day. For Mitch, the moment he knew Victoria was the one was less glamorous but just as meaningful. When he came down with a nasty sinus infection, Victoria refused to leave his side, even though he was contagious. Her unwavering care and love made him feel truly cherished, and it became a hallmark of their relationship. In May 2024, Victoria took a big step and moved into Mitch’s townhome in Columbia, MD. As they built their life together, conversations about forever naturally unfolded. On December 27, 2024, Mitch proposed in Frank Melville Memorial Park in Setauket, NY, a place that holds a special charm. Tori said yes, and they celebrated their engagement surrounded by their closest family—parents, grandparents, and siblings—in a house filled with love and laughter. Now, they can’t wait to celebrate their next big chapter with all of you.

While we are unable to add additional rooms or extend our group rate, you may still book a room at the hotel at their current regular rate (subject to availability). Check-In &amp; Arrival: Check-in begins at 3:00PM at the Courtyard by Marriott. You’re welcome to request an early check-in when booking, but please note that the hotel cannot guarantee early access to rooms. Because of this, we highly recommend traveling in on Thursday evening after work. This way, you’ll have time to get settled, relax, and get ready without rushing before the big night! Guests will need to depart the hotel for Rosewood Farms by 3:30 PM on Friday, so arriving on Thursday helps ensure you’ll have a smooth and stress-free start to the celebration. We will be providing round-trip transportation from the Courtyard by Marriott to Rosewood Farms for guests who are either staying at the hotel or meeting there. If you’d like to take the shuttle, please indicate this when you submit your online wedding RSVP. Departure:Delaware Express Shuttles will arrive at the Courtyard Marriott at 3:15 PM and will depart promptly at 3:30 PM for the venue. Return Trips:Delaware Express Shuttles will return from Rosewood Farms to the hotel at 9:00 PM and 10:15 PM. If you prefer to drive yourself, on-site parking is available at Rosewood Farms.
